Convinced that fame like that of the idol singer Miho Utsuse is the way to win the love of 30,000 people she needs to become truly human, Key pursues a singing career. But Key doesn’t sing…or dance.
On top of that, the mysterious priest Prince Snake-Eye is convinced that Key’s unusual powers should be used for spiritual inspiration, not show business, and he and his followers to their best to sabotage Key’s efforts. Even so, a certain producer is intrigued… Meanwhile, Miho’s career holds dark secrets of it’s own, The experiments into robotic development being conducted by Miho’s management company through her concerts are only escalating, and Miho pays the price for each new innovation.

The robot development project that has stalked Key ever since she came to Tokyo actually has roots deep in her past - roots reaching back two generations in her family, with a discovery made by Key’s “grandfather,” and exploited by his business associate Ajo.
The same Ajo used the discovery to link Miho’s music to his own dreams of the perfect artificial being. But understanding the past doesn’t help Key and her friends avoid the deadly danger now presented by Ajo and his project - danger threatening both Key’s closest friends, and every member of the audience at a climactic Miho concert. As Key’s awakening as a human teeters on the brink, it’s finally time for everyone to hear her song.
